FOTOGRAFIAR LO INVISIBLE (PHOTOGRAPHING THE INVISIBLE)

Conferencia 'Fotografiar lo invisible'

DESCRIPTION

Throughout the history of photography, many authors have used the camera not only as a tool for recording, but as a means of personal expression and artistic reflection. As opposed to purely documentary photography, others explore its ability to represent the intangible. This approach converts the image into a space for interpretation, where what is visible is at the service of what is symbolic and poetic.

To mark the exhibition Duane Michals. El fotógrafo de lo invisible (Duane Michals. Photographer of the Invisible), Fundación Canal hosts this event with David Jiménez, one of the most noteworthy photographers in Spain today. Thanks to his experience, attendees will learn how to observe photography that goes beyond the evidently visible and will have the opportunity to discover how photography can become a channel to discuss the passage of time, dreams, mystery, and paradox.
