LIVE BROADCAST OF THE OPERA “TURANDOT” FROM THE ROYAL THEATRE

Once again this year, Fundación Canal is joining the Royal Theatre’s initiative during Opera Week, whose purpose is to bring the genre to all kinds of audiences in all kinds of locations with a live broadcast in squares and at town halls, institutions, museums, and cultural centres all around the country.

“Turandot” is the last opera by composer Giacomo Puccini. It narrates the story of a cruel Chinese princess who tells her suitors to solve three riddles, condemning those unable to do so to death. The opera ends with one of the most beautiful and famous arias in the genre, “Nessun Dorma”. On this occasion, the show boasts the stunningly beautiful mise-en-scène of Bob Wilson.
