DESCRIPTION

Fundación Canal and La Fábrica present Aqua Mater, an exhibition devoted to the work of Sebastião Salgado revolving around water as an essential element for life. It will open beginning in late October at the Castellana 214 Hall, coinciding with Canal de Isabel II’s 175th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of Fundación Canal.

Curated by Lélia Wanick Salgado, it brings together for the first time a broad selection from the series Aqua Mater and Glaciers. The exhibition route presents nearly one hundred large-sized, black and white photographs taken over the course of more than two decades of travel through some of our planet’s most unique landscapes.

For the first time, the collection includes a selection of images from the series Glaciers, coming to Madrid in a presentation designed specifically for Fundación Canal’s Castellana 214 Hall after having travelled through France and Italy.
